Power Automate has a mobile application that we can use to create automated workflows between applications and services. It’s a powerful tool to streamline businesses and work efficiently. In this tutorial, we’ll discuss the Power Automate mobile app and have an overview of workflows on our phones.
Once we’ve created a flow, we can view and trigger it from our phone as well. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to hook up my phone to the video feed, but I’ve taken snapshots of my phone so I can walk you through the process.
Downloading The Power Automate Mobile App
First, let’s download the Power Automate mobile application on App Store for iOS users or Play Store for Android.
After downloading the application, we need to log in using our Microsoft account. For this example, I’m using a temporary email that I’ve previously created.
It will take a few moments to get everything set up. Then, we’ll be able to see our flows.
Editing A Flow In Power Automate Mobile App
The Activity screen is where we can see the workflows that are running, and the workflows that we need to act on.
If we go to the Flows screen, we can click a flow and edit it as well. In this example, let’s click My first flow.
Then, click the Edit flow option.
This is the Edit flow screen.
As you can see, it’s similar to what we can see when using the desktop application.
However, we can’t do everything on the Power Automate mobile application. Once we start doing more complicated things or complex interactions and conditions, we won’t be able to do all of that on our phones.
Buttons Screen In Power Automate Mobile App
In the Power Automate mobile app, they are buttons to easily trigger our flows. The Buttons screen shows the triggers to any instant flows that we have. For example, let’s click on the My first flow button.
It will then ask us to input some texts for the Email Subject and Email Body which is also similar to the desktop application when we are running the flow.
After entering some texts, click Done.
Then, it will run our flow. I don’t have any screenshot for this but if we click on the three dots below, it’ll show us how our flow is running or what’s happening within the process.
What’s great about any Microsoft app, like Power Apps or Power Automate, is that they’re very flexible. This is because they can run on desktops, mobile phones, and even on the cloud. If you’re using instant flows, it will be more efficient because Microsoft also makes these buttons for you. We could also have a trigger that runs automatically based on certain conditions, which means we won’t really need any button.

Conclusion
To sum up, the Power Automate mobile application is handy, useful, and easy to navigate. Microsoft places a box around our operating system so the same environment that we can see on our desktop is the same version that we can see on our phones.
With the Microsoft Power Automate mobile app, we can create new automated workflows from anywhere, use buttons to trigger them with a tap, and share them with our team. We can also get push notifications to stay on top of our flows, grant approvals, monitor flow activity, and many more. These are the things that make this tool very powerful in our day-to-day lives, and in our business and work lives.
All the best,
