Announcing The Launch Of Our New Data Nucleus Platform – The Central Hub For Your Cloud-Based Data

by | Power BI

One of the most requested pieces of functionality I’ve seen over the last couple of years with Power BI has been for the ability to connect into a range of cloud based applications across the web. You may watch the full video of this tutorial at the bottom of this blog.

Historically this has been very difficult and that is the core problem we’re trying to solve with the Data Nucleus web based app.

Data Nucleus is the central hub for your cloud-based data

Data Nucleus

What Is Data Nucleus?

It is the central hub of all data sitting within cloud based applications that your business uses.

It enables you to have one central application housing all of your data to connect Power BI to.

Instead of having to complete all the hard work of figuring out how to connect to your accounting software, CRM systems, sales platforms, marketing apps, etc. without Data Nucleus, we’ve done all of that hard work and all you need to do is to connect Power BI to the application to access your selected connections

How Does Data Nucleus Actually Work?

What Data Nucleus does is it creates a cloud based data warehouse and then uses this to store and sync all of the cloud based data that you decide to connect into.

Within your own profile you have one comprehensive warehouse which contains all specified data and can easily grow as you look to add more connections

What’s The Benefit Of Using Data Nucleus?

There are many benefits if you use any cloud based application. Connecting to these applications and extracting your data is notoriously difficult if not impossible, and what we’re doing with Data Nucleus is we’re trying to make that easy and seamless.

Also, Data Nucleus continually syncs your data so you always know that your data is up-to-date.

We’re making the connection to your data really simple and then enabling you to use all of the amazing features embedded into Power BI to analyze it.

What Web Applications Can I Currently Connect To Using Data Nucleus?

How Can I Learn About Other Functionalities Embedded Into Data Nucleus?

There is a lot of detail already embedded into the help section of the application. All you need to do is navigate to whatever FAQ you may have and we’re sure you will discover what you need.

Data Nucleus has been developed to try and make the experience as simple and easy as possible.

Everything is laid out in an intuitive way with all of the heavy lifting being done in the background.

Is Power BI The Only Analytical Tool I Can Use To Connect To The Data Nucleus Platform?

No, you can actually connect to Data Nucleus in a number of different ways and with a number of different technologies, including Excel, Tableau, or any other business intelligence tool which enables a database connection.

As Data Nucleus is being powered by Enterprise DNA, obviously we will have a Power BI focus, as we still believe with quite a lot of conviction that Power BI is the best analytical tool on the market and will continue to be for some time yet.

What’s The Future For Data Nucleus?

The problem we’re trying to solve with our new platform is immense. It’s one of the most difficult parts of creating high quality analysis for most businesses today. Actually getting the data and curating it in a seamless way has historically been very hard.

The near term future for Data Nucleus is primarily to create as many connections to key business critical applications as we can, so that you can bring all of your data together and create useful insights that are going to make a difference using Power BI.

Also once we see Data Nucleus gaining traction we will endeavor to create pre-built templates that our users can take advantage of. At the moment we are just providing the data connection and then you have the complete flexibility of using Power BI to shape and optimize your data and reports in any way you like. But we know that there is value in creating a prebuilt offering to speed up your insight generation and analysis of your data. Stay tuned.

Make sure to check out Data Nucleus here and start your free trial today.

Thanks

Sam
