I’ve been getting out and about and listening to what customers (current & potential) are doing on the data analysis front. I’m hearing quite frequently that those who have implemented Tableau are becoming disappointed in the progress they are (or aren’t) making. The previously imagined transformational change around their data usage and consumption just isn’t happening quick enough or at all.
Here are some of my thoughts around why that is and why Power BI is a more compelling selection to create long-term cultural change around data consumption within an organisation.
Just creating new charts and visuals that look better than what your teams can already create in excel is not going to be enough to change a culture around data.
