Enterprise DNA Upcoming Courses for 2021

by | Announcement

The Enterprise DNA community has grown significantly over the last year and we know that the value we deliver in terms of content and resources is one of the top reasons. That’s why this year, we’re delivering even more relevant courses that we know will push every member to master even more Power BI techniques and level up their reports and dashboards further.

These courses created by our Power BI Experts zero in on some of the most useful tips and tricks that every Power BI user should know.

Optimizing DAX with Nick Moné

Have you built a great report in Power BI, but slow performance is diminishing the user experience? This course provides you the knowledge and tools to identify performance bottlenecks in your report measures and optimize them for maximum performance.

Released in January, this course teaches you how to use essential tools such as VertiPaq Analyzer and DAX Studio for measuring and optimizing performance. It also dives into other key optimization concepts such as formula engine versus storage engine, and logical and physical query plans using plain language and detailed, practical examples.

Mastering Report Development – Start To Finish with Jarrett Moore

Released this month, this new course provides a detailed roadmap for creating top-notch reports, whether for Data Challenges or work requirements. Enterprise DNA Expert and Data Challenge Winner Jarrett Moore takes you through the creation of his Data Challenge #10 entry, from receipt of the initial brief through the final summation of his results.

Through the course of developing his entry, he takes you through all four primary pillars of Power BI report development: data prep, data modeling, DAX analysis, and visualization. A small sample of the topics covered includes: creating a smooth navigation experience using bookmarks, buttons and icons, effectively integrating recently added Power BI features such as anomaly detection, smart narratives, and zoom sliders, and how to use variables to help simplify complex DAX measures.

Advanced Visualization Techniques with Mudassir Ali (Part 1 of 2)

Enterprise DNA

In the first installment of a two-part series, Enterprise DNA Expert and three-time Data Challenge winner Mudassir Ali teaches you how to take your visualizations to the next level without the need for advanced DAX knowledge. Visualization plays a huge role in making your reports deliver valuable insights in the clearest and most insightful way possible. This course teaches you new and effective ways to maximize the impact of the native Power BI visuals. It also highlights some of the best custom visuals and teaches you how to apply them in your reports.

Beyond the individual visuals, Mudassir teaches you how to create a stunning report look and navigation experience that engages the user and effectively communicates the key analytical findings. This course will expand your visual repertoire, enhance your technical skills, and spark your creativity, regardless of your current skill level in Power BI.
