Enterprise DNA Learning Summit May 2019 – Final Day Wrap Up

by | 1:15 pm EDT | May 23, 2019 | DAX, Learning Summits, Power BI

We have reached the end of this quarter’s Learning Summit! What a fantastic event it has been. Thank you to all those who attended any session or have watched any of the replays.

Always appreciate the feedback that comes in.

Just to wrap up for the summit, I thought I would review some of the content that was covered in today’s session. Both of these sessions were quite detailed and I covered a lot of content that I find truly exciting and interesting about Power BI.

The first session was all about ranking techniques. Most specifically a deep dive into the RANKX function.

There are so many nuances to this one function it can at times be utterly confusing. That’s why I spent a lot of time diving into many scenarios you might find yourself in when creating some ranking analysis.

Session 5

In the last session we covered many of the new and improved features in the Power BI Online Service.

There has been some vast improvement to many aspects of the online service lately and I wanted to work through the ones I find the most useful.

It’s truly amazing how good the online service is for distributing and collaborating on data insights within organisations. There’s nothing quite like it…..and it’s getting better all the time based on feedback from the community.

This was a great workshop to end the summit on. Hopefully, you could hear the excitement I have around this particular area of the Power BI suite.

Session 6

That’s all from me around the summit. Thank you very much to all who attended and participated in the event. I thoroughly enjoyed putting on the summit and running the sessions.

I hope you liked all the unique sessions featured in this event and hopefully, you can find the time to utilize many of the techniques and concepts that we’ve discussed and can implement some of them into your own Power BI development work that you are completing right now.

All the best.
