Enterprise DNA Challenge 19 Wrap Up: Call Centre Data Recording

by | 8:41 pm EDT | May 18, 2022 | Power BI, Power BI Challenge

When it comes to our Power BI Challenges, there’s always something fresh happening, making each round an event to look forward to.

For our 19th challenge, for instance, we opened up our own space on LinkedIn where both members and non-members can jump right in and show everyone what they’ve got.

What’s New In Our Power BI Challenges

As we keep finding ways to innovate and tweak our approach, we bring the learning and opportunities closer to even more people. In fact, this initiative brought in an amazing 55 participants, 29 of them non-members and with 12 newcomers.

This is also the first time that Federico Pastor, our Head of Challenges, handled a round.

Federico has over 14 years of experience in the aviation and security industry, plus extensive knowledge in Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query and SQL. He embraces community building and collaboration, which are both among the good things that these challenges bring to the table.

Power BI Challenges

Power BI Challenges are the perfect way for participants to show their knowledge and skills through scenarios that mimic what could happen in real life. They also prove just how dynamic Power BI really is as we cover different topics in each round.

This is why we encourage more people to join in. This is hands down the best hands-on practice you can get, knowing that you might face similar situations in the future. We’ve also seen how participants improve over time as they work on more challenges.

Power BI Challenge

The benefits of these challenges do not stop there. In fact, the reports and dashboards submitted by our participants serve as great learning tools for those who want to learn best practices from others. This is why we make these submissions available through our Power BI Challenge Showcase, where Enterprise DNA members can download them as pbix files.

Submissions are judged based on the 4 pillars that make a Power BI report great – data modeling, data transformation, DAX calculations, and visualizations.

Challenge winners receive a complimentary Enterprise DNA membership and other prizes that will empower them to level up their Power BI knowledge.
